Questions
Does ReportWriter use AI?
No. Nothing you enter is sent to an AI. Comments are built from a reviewed comment bank written to Growing Success and the current Ontario curriculum, so they are consistent and never make things up.
Is my students' information safe?
Student names stay on your computer. To write a comment, ReportWriter only receives the mark, the pronouns you chose and the length of the name. If you choose to save class lists to your account so they work on any computer, you can switch that off at any time.
My board's comment box is a different size.
Set the maximum (and, if you like, minimum) number of characters for each subject. ReportWriter remembers it and fits every comment to it.
Can I edit the comments?
Yes. Every comment is yours to edit before you copy it. Growing Success expects personalized comments, so ReportWriter gives you a strong starting point that you can adjust.
Which grades and subjects are included?
Kindergarten (all four frames), Grades 1 to 8 learning skills, Language, French, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, History, Geography, Health Education, Physical Education, Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts, for report cards and fall progress reports.
Do I need an account?
Not to try it. After your free comments, sign in with Google and pay once for 12 months. A personal Gmail account works fine.
